Juvederm

Juvederm is an injectable dermal filler, that smooths out wrinkles by adding volume to the lips and cheeks. Juvederm is a gel composed of hyaluronic acid, a compound that is naturally produced by the body.

Prior to the treatment, a topical anesthetic is applied to minimize discomfort. Juvederm is injected into the targeted areas using a fine needle. The entire procedure can be done in about 30 minutes depending on the degree of necessary corrections. Redness and swelling may be present after the treatment, but these normally fade quickly. Patients can resume their activities immediately after the procedure.

Juvederm offers long-lasting results which can last for more than 9 months. A smooth skin and youthful appearance can be maintained with follow-up treatments.

Radiesse

Radiesse is an FDA-approved volumizing filler that contains calcium and phosphate ions and is composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. These substances are all organic compounds that can be safely injected into the skin layers.

Radiesse is an excellent choice for adding volume to the cheeks and for enhancing the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines or depressed scars. The minerals in Radiesse, provide a surface for the formation of new skin collagen, giving the treated site longer-lasting and more natural results.

Before injecting Radiesse, a numbing cream is applied on the face. Using a very fine needle, the filler is then injected into the skins tissue. The process may take anywhere between 15-30 minutes, after which point patients can immediately resume their daily routine. The effects of Radiesse may last for a year and to maintain one’s youthful appearance, touch-ups are necessary.

Restylane

Restylane is another popular dermal filler composed of hyaluronic acid. It is used to to reduce wrinkles, fine lines, and frown lines to instantly smooth and rejuvenate the skin. Restylane also adds volume and dramatically reshapes the lips for a fuller and sexier contour.

To prevent any pain or discomfort, the treatment areas are numbed and Restylane is injected. The redness and swelling that is typically experienced after the treatment disappears quickly and patients can return to their normal activities the same day. The effects of Restylane can be expected to last for about six months to a year.

Fat Injections

Fat injections on the other hand, otherwise referred to as fat transfers, take fat cells from the patient’s body and cleanses them. The cleansed fat is then injected back into the targeted areas to add volume and improve the appearance of wrinkles.

Latisse

Latisse is an FDA-approved product that helps stimulate the growth of thicker and longer eyelashes. This substance can be used for cosmetic purposes and for the treatment of hypotrichosis, or the inadequate growth of eyelashes. Latisse can be topically applied at home and after the course of 4-8 weeks, the growth of new eyelashes will be noticeable. Optimal results of the treatment will be visible after 16 weeks of use.
